1. Screw-in type distributor cap (spark plug lead/cable, with no boot or terminal, is pushed into a hole in the distributor
cap, the lead/cable is then locked in place by a pointed screw from the underside of the cap. Refer: to picture below

2. Only 7mm sets will fit through guide tube / please call.
3. This set has SAE / post / male fittings on the distributor / coil or coil pack.
4. This set has a pick-up-sensor (impulse sensor) on lead no. 1, 4 or 6, already fitted by Magnecor. These sets are only
available in 7mm, 8mm and 8.5mm size cable.
5. This set is for acorn-type distributor caps / coils. Magnecor can make sets in 7mm or 8mm cable (Ref: picture below).

7. Cables are routed through a rectangular plastic guide, 7mm sets will replace existing genuine set.
8. Coil on inner wing.
9. Coil on inlet manifold.
10. This set utilises OE resistor type plug boots and therefore the cable used is unsuppressed silicone insulated 7mm
tin-plated copper core.
11. This set supplied with all distributor, and spark plug boots and terminals attached, partially assembled sets also

12.On the Lucas DDB101 distributor caps Magnecor are able to enlarge the holes to take 8mm and 8.5mm cable.

13.Distributorless / Coil pack or Coil Over (Direct Fire / DI) type ignition systems - i.e. No Coil Lead and in some cases there
are less leads in the set than would be normally. e.g. 2 leads for a 4 cylinder and 3 for a 6 cylinder.
14.This set has M4/Pin fittings at the distributor / coil / coil pack.
15.Coil only has M4/Pin fitting.
16.M4/Pin fittings on distributor, SAE / Post / Male fitting on coil.
17.IMPORTANT: The OE lead set comes with an impulse sensor (inductive pick-up) attached to one lead of the set.
Magnecor do not supply the sensor for this set. Please enquire if your engine has one. We can use the original
sensor, but we will need to obtain the original lead to do so.
18.SAE / Post / Male fittings on distributor, conventional fitting on coil.
19.The manufacturers OE lead set for these vehicles have 5mm diameter cables (majorities of vehicles have 7mm).
Magnecor make replacement sets in 8mm & 8.5mm diameter cable with the correct fittings, although they may not
resemble the OE type. Magnecor may be able to supply a 5mm OE replacement set, please enquire.
20.This set has a 'SAE / post / male' fitting on the coil.
21.Tower diameters can be either 15mm or 18mm diameter requiring different boot sizes for sealing.
22.This set has the acorn type fittings at the distributor cap and coil. Refer to the picture below.
